Post by PA2J »

altough i did read the instructions in zip file ( only opens with word pad not with Note Pad) and follow those to copy the new EXE into the winlog32 folder it won't open the program and not giving any Error. also run as admin does not help.
as instructed 1st did put the full version there... i am puzzeled here for the minor update
did want to try it with Grid tracker to see if it works....

no hurry in replies 7.3.0.46 works great still :D

That's really strange

Do you attempt to run the exe directly from the Winlog32 folder or from a shortcut?

Do you get the 'egg timer' cursor when attempting to run it?

Wondering if it is A/V stopping it from running.

You could also try to rename the 'winlog.ini' (settings) file to 'winlog.old' and then try to run the exe in case some problem with stored settings.

I may contact you directly to see if we can resolve this..

Hi Colin,
Same problem here :
I tried to do a full upgrade to 46 as I have v7.3.0.40.
Stopped the A/V : no effect.
Running W11 now, but had the same problem with W10.
Do I have to make a thorough cleaning of Winlog and what file do I have to keep ?

Jean

What actual problem you have

What happens when you double-click on the executable 'wl32.exe', something must happen....
Does the splash screen show?
Does Winlog32 appear to run, but you can not see it? check with Windows 'device manager' to see if it is running.

I need a bit more info please.
