Hello, just download Winlog32. Rig control is unable to change frequency using the up and down button on the rig control screen.
Radio to control is Yaesu FT-991A.
On 144/430 is working fine both way. Rotating tuning knob on the radio, frequency on the rig control follow the radio frequency display down to the Hz. Using up and down button on the Rig control screen, frequency display on the radio follows.
However from 50MHz to 1.8MHz it does not work both way. I could only using the tuning knob on the radio to change the rig control frequency but up and down button do nothing to the radio.
Mode changing somewhat work. I can only see SSB, CW and RTTY on the rig control screen. No FM and/or AM.
NOTE: I can only see FT-991 on the list, no FT-991A. FT-991A may not be the same as FT-991. I do not have FT-991 to try it.
Thanks,
Kit
Unable to change HF frequencies from rig control
Re: Unable to change HF frequencies from rig control
Hi Kit
Not sure about the problem, unfortunately I do not have a 991 to test.
Does the rig respond to the DXCluster frequencies on HF?
Some things you might try....
If you use the rig in any Memory mode for HF, then change to VFO e.g. VFO1 - it's more than likely this is what you are doing, but know that when some rigs are in memory mode, then will not respond.
Try it using the Rig Control window #2 (if you have only tested on #1, e.g. "Yaesu V # 2"
In the Rig Control Window 'settings' tab 'Settings' Delay Value - try setting to a higher value from the drop-down list.
Sorry I don't know of the difference between a 991 and a 991A, but normally all Vertex radios use the same protocol.
Meanwhile I'll take a look at the code and see if there is anything suspect.
