Hi I love this logging software!
I was wondering if the author is going to add rig control at a later date.
It would be nice to be able to not have to worry if I have remmembered to change
bands and modes, and it would be nice to be able to log the exact freq.

I agree, a built in log to rig facility would be a nice feature and one that is included in most other log programs.

Hi all
Yes I agree too !
It will be much more powerful if it has the feature.

OK Guys I can take a hint!
I am looking into the possibilities, you guys can help by letting me know what rigs you are looking to hook-up, this will give me some ideas on which to work on first.
I do not expect that the rig control will be more than simple freq/mode exchange in Winlog32.
Please be patient

Hi John (G0RDO)
How's this for sequential mail ( From G0RDP)
As colin knows I also use SWISSLOG DOS on an old PC, this can control my Kenwood TS 450 rig via the Kenwood IF-232 serial controler.
Would be useful on Winlog, my main logging prog.

I follow the discution and if it is possibel to implement Freq and Band readout for a FT-847 it will be nice for me to use it
very nice programm winlog32

Yes, this is something that I would like to see as well.
Rig is an Elecraft K2 (www.elecraft.com) but the protocol is very much like a Kenwood standard.

Hi Colin
Rig here is also an Elecraft K2. Sometimes also use my TS570. As the Elecraft K2 uses a very similar protocol to the Kenwood, using a Kenwood interface protocol would be fine.
The Elecraft protocols are covered in the KIO2 Programmer's Reference Manual at:
http://www.elecraft.com/K2_Manual_Download_Page.htm
Now how about DX Cluster support via packet and Telnet?
