Remote Logging

Post by g7lrr »

I would just like to say thanks Colin for the remote logging that has now been added into winlog32.
I find this so helpful now when running 2 stations here in the shack, I no longer have to export and import between the stations.
One thing I had notice that if you enter a logging on one it does not show on the other pc until you enter a log on that pc itself then it updates the log.
I have not tried it in Contest mode as yet but is there a way to have it contest log and auto number between the 2 pc Colin, so if pc 1 say has 59 001 number then pc 2 would auto have 59 002 and so on .
Not sure what your plans are for this feature but so far Colin I think it is a great add-on to such a great logging program and is there plans for some info or help file on it setup as I am been asked by users at our local radio club now how it works.

Regards
Andy

Remote Logging

There is some online help for remote logging, this should explain all.

I can think of a million reasons why I would not like to stick my neck out with the auto-numbering between two or more computers especially if there is more than one operator!
I think this is where I can not compete with specialised contest loggers - perhaps developed with this in mind.
