Hi,
For the last couple of days I have had problems staying connected to the
cluster. I'm on Broadband 24/7. I can connect but I get about 6 spots then nothing..WLNET shows I'm connected but just seems to hang .
I'm using XP pro . The only thing I've added is another video card but I wouldn't have thought that would cause this problem.
Or maybe the latest windows update has caused this.??
I have been through the ini file but that seems to be in order.
Any help would be gratefully recieved..
All Web sites and emails etc work withe no timeouts ar any other problems.
I am using the latest version of Winlog32.
I have just noticed that I'm getting error event 10053 connection is aborted due to time out or other failure

Have you changed any firewall settings and have you tried an alternative site incase the timeout problem is at their end??
Just a couple of thoughts...

Hi Keith,
No firewall settings have been changed and I've tried 20 different
sites with the same result.
I'm at a total loss at what is causing this.
I have no problem with large downloads so I'm beginning to wonder if
Winlog32 has screwed up somehow.
I have just been told that we had a power cut several days ago and Winlog is running ( or was ) 24/7 this may have caused the problem ??

Hi guys
I have not noticed anything happening myself with disconnects and have no other reports directly, I have WLNET running all time I am around home - at week-ends this can be for periods up to 18 hours, and no problems have been encountered, try enabling the 'debug' option, menu/file/maintenace, this may give some pointers, but it does sound more of a network problem.
You can also try to disable all 'checking' options in the DXCluster, in case there is a problem with a database, a power-outage can zap daabases if they are actually in use at the time of the outage.
You can send me the debug file to me after you have ecountered a few hang-ups, or you can inspect it yourself.

Hi all,
The problem I've been having is solved (YIPPPPEEEEEEEEEE).
As Colin had said it was likely that is a network fault.
I finally found it was the PPPoE Service that was at fault
Now all is working as it should
