Loging Information

Post by n8tl »

Fm: n8tl@juno.com

I cannot enter log data because the screen is gray'd out.
I created a directory and log name but even after I created
this required data, the log screen still remains gray'd out.

Any help or suggestions are appreciated. How do I activate the
log portion of the screen? Stepwise procedure appreciated since
the "help" section is not clear enough for me to understand.

Thanks,

Loging Information

Post by G0CUZ »

Hi Tom
If you are sure that you have made a database and LOG, then the likely cause is that you have not selected the file in menu/options/database-backup, when you have done this the (log) LOAD window flashing red will have your Log name ready for you to press the LOAD button. in v1.8 there is a button on the main log window which selects the database rather than having to select from 'options'.

The is a section in the help file 'Quick Start' which does give a step-by-step guide to making a new database and Log.

Hope this helps.
