Problem: Update WIN10 ,ieframe.dll, error 339

Post by dl1pan »

Hello,
after a few weeks I read Windows 10 do the latest update.
If I click the call in Winlog32 in the log with the right mouse button and want to open "lookup for qrz.com", the following error message appears.
"Run-time error 339: Component ieframe.dll or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid"

now i have made system restore point with win10 and now "lookup for qrz.com" works again.
so I think that Winlog32 is not compatible with the update of WIN10.
is there any experience or what can I do?
As always, I have suspended the update of Win10 for 30 days.

sorry for my english, it is from google translator

Hi Andreas

Just checked this function on my Win 10 machine, and it is working OK.

The "ieframe.dll" is probably an Internet Explorer component, Winlog32 does use the IE core for external web pages - such as "look-up at QRZ.COM" as your post suggests, so you could try installing IE (you don't have to use it) but Winlog32 needs the components for some of these 'look-up' functions.
