Hi Colin. Is it possible to add 3 Databases if possible.

1. Lighthouses
2. Lightships
3. Italian Castles

Would this be very difficult or just too time consuming?

Also I am going thru my logbook and making it as full as I can. What is the best way to remove a log. Also I noticed if I try and copy n paste say remarks its ok copying it but when I paste it, it pastes the whole log. Am I doing something wrong?
Many thanks

The user file that is in the download link include DCI (Italian castles) and Some LH awards as well as other castles and chasing .
pls have a look.

Some of the lists are not up to date coz lack of time to modify but as I can get into it agn I will do it , tho still good lists to start with.

@Eyran Many thanks for the info. I have read the information but I am struggling to find how to "load" a new database.
Installation Instructions:
Unzip the User.mdb File into : Winlog32/Logs/Your Log Folder . DONE
Then Go into Winlog32 and Click "Load" and You'll see 25 Databases In the User Section. Where is this located please.

Sorry but since my stroke I find the simplest things difficult to understand.
Say if I have to log a station with a locator, At the moment I enter this in the Remarks eg. "this is what I type"
LOCATOR IO93IK Tony - Rotherham and in the USER I would write England. For IOTA I type
IOTA EU-023 Bill QSL via PA7DX... In Remarks, then in User I write Malta
WAB-SE12 Geoff - Bradford in Remarks, in User England
Just one last one as it gets boring. Just want you to see if I can do this much easier way.
This is say for USA States. In Remarks I write say VIGO County MI. William and in User I write U.S.A.

Sorry its a bit boring but it's taken ages for me to write this. I hope you get the grasp of me sorting my log book out.
Many thanks
Tony

Hi Tony

The 'User' database award list will appear along with the other database award list, menu/Databases/User, thee should be a list of awards in that database.

I can comment on a couple of general things:- there is no need to add the 'country' to any of the fields - the log does this.

Grid locator is added to the 'REMARKS' field as the FIRST item, do NOT prefix with 'Locator'.

Subsequent references for other awards can be added after the grid (if it has been added), but ALL other awards must be prefixed in the manner of "IOTA EU-005"
Thus you can string these together in remarks, a typical entry in Remarks would be like "IO83WM IOTA-005 WAB SO99" (etc)

BUT please note that the USER award database award references, as far as I can remember can only be added to the 'USER' field in a similar manner.

Providing these awards are enabled in menu/Database - they will be picked during logging process, or retrospectively by scanning the Log using the 'Log Check Robot' (menu/Tools/Log Check Robot)

Hope this helps.

Hello Colin many thanks. I will give that a try. I just wanted to go through my logbook and make corrections and clean it up etc. I checked under the Databases/User but User is greyed out so I can't select anything. Sussed it. I just copied the user data file to my M0MTD Folder so now I see lots of short words. I presume I have done this correctly now. I feel so stupid.

1. How would I enter USA States as at the moment they are in Remarks as eg. MAINE Kennebec County ME. James
Would that be the correct way to enter it?

2. Also How do I record QSL Managers? Would that be under Databases/MANAGER and would I type QSL via ??????? or MANAGER ??????

Thanks for your continued support and time.

Hi Tony

I missed some of your questions that you put in your last post, sorry.

The extended answers are described in the online help pages, but generally for USA, "County name CTY STATE" e.g. "Kennebec CTY ME" in your example.

For state only "CTY ME" , CTY being the key.

Example "QSL VIA G0CUZ" in Remarks, will be picked up by the QSL Manager database and also for QSL label printing.
