Incoming cluster spots sounds

Hi Colin / all,
is there a way to ignore certain callsigns in order to avoid cluster alert sounds for new DXCC or new band/mode ?
I usually tell Winlog32 that a certain DXCC has not been worked because I did not get the right station which uses LOTW although I have worked it.

Maybe it's too early for me today, so if I'm not clear on my request, I will try later !!! HI HI...

Nico

Hi Nico

I think I understand OK, but I don't think there is any way to avoid a particular callsign, but I will have a look and see if it may be possible to do an 'ignore' alert on specified callsign or should we only an ignore if NOT LoTW user?

Could you give me an example of what you want.

Also would you still want the graphic alert on new DXCC (e.g. coloured spot) or ignore both sound and graphic?

Hi Colin,
thanks for your always kind and appreciated replies.
Good and interesting remarks... Let's say an 'ignore' alert on specified callsign with no sound and with the graphic alert still being shown thou.
You know, it's useful when you are doing something else on the PC and you are not interested to work that particular callsign being spotted several times...

Hi Nico

OK, so in DXCluster options TAB Alerts there are possibility of alerting specific callsigns (up to 7 different calls), so to this option set, I can add an 'ignore' option, I have not looked at the possibilities in code yet, but it should work.

I'll get back to you when I have experimented, maybe a couple of weeks or more though.

Hi Nico

Well I looked into the possibilities of adding this 'no sound' option, and did some work on it BUT unfortunately it has not proved possible.

Due to the nature of how the spots are parsed and sound alerted, I have not found a way to add this option without a LOT of work, I am sorry.

The only thing I can think is that to have a DXCluster toolbar option which will allow a quick disable/enable to ALL sound alerts which may help with your concentration (hi)

That is the best I can suggest.

Hi Colin,
thank you very much all the same. Sorry for making you loose some of your time on that. I thought about something similar to JT-Alert, but maybe it's just a different processing.
Best regards,
Nico

Hi Colin,
I've thought that an ignore if NOT LoTW user would be just fine, if it does not require too much work for you...
