Logging remote via LAN

Something I am experimenting with at the moment.....
If anyone is using more than one PC in the shack or PCs on a LAN, and would like to take part in the evaluation and testing, please contact me direct for details.

Re: EZ8CD Not being recognised as Turkmenistan

Not sure why, you are right EZ8 not being recognised, will be looking into this shortly.

Meanwhile you can change/add the country (code) by double-clicking the Callsign edit field and using the options.

Re: The wheels fell off..

Thanks Chris, I did see this recently when I tried to add a post, I wondered if it was a temp. glitch, should have contacted you, but have not been logging on here as regular as I should as not noticed much activity, perhaps this is why!
Thanks for keeping the Forum alive.

Re: Alerts

Sorry for late reply to this. There is plenty in the online help on how to set up the cluster to show wanted Band Mode etc. http://help.winlog32.co.uk/hlp_dxc_overview.aspx This relies on the DXCC database being populated, if you have imported QSO, then this may not be so, this is done with the Log ...

New Users and Account Activation

On a few of occasions during the last couple of years, the Forum has been 'bombed' by spam robots that can circumnavigate any casual security checks when joining the Forum, and there have been times when new membership has been suspended. For this reason, the process has had to be a bit more stringe...

Beacon Database

For those who don't know, Winlog32 contains a Beacon database containing over 4000 entries worldwide covering LF through to the SHF bands, data has been accumulated over many years including past and present activity, this has been maintained by myself for a number of years now and updates are usual...

Re: EQSL with 2 Databases

OK Andreas

Station Location 'callsign' must be different for each log, that is used to separate the logs.

I sent you an email regarding this.

Re: EQSL with 2 Databases

Hi Andreas

Have you set a different station location for EACH of the callsigns, - I presume they are different callsigns?

You DO need to make a station location for each separate log.

I will investigate further after you have confirmed the above.
