backup to floppy disc limited?

<r>Hi all,<br/> <br/> I wonder whether someone knows or has experienced the maximum number of QSO which can be stored to a floppy disc. Now I have logged about 8,500 QSO and the used disc space is 1.01 MB. What will happen if I reach the maximum QSO number (I estimate around 12.000). Will WL32 ask t...

what to enter

<r>Hi Tony,<br/> <br/> if you want to enter all periods of activtiy you have to be aware not to enter something that can be interpreted as a callsign. So I suggest to put a blank before you enter other text, e. g. " TVI". This will not be recognised as a callsign and the program will accept this.<br...

How convert old SuperWinlog to Winlog32?

<r>Hello Robert,<br/> <br/> as far as I remember (but I am not sure) the database format has not changed between SuperWinlog and Winlog32. So it should be possible to just copy the SuperWL log file into the Winlog32 folder and start the program. If it works you should run the auto log check robot to...

regional settings and DXCC database

<r>Hi all, <br/> <br/> I am using WL32 version 2.1 under Win98 system. I set the regional setting to Germany, all is working fine. Searching in the databases I found that the if I want to look for 1.8 or 3.5 Mhz standing I will get the 18 Mhz issues for 160 m and nothing for 3.5 Mhz. I found that if...

regional settings and DXCC database

After thinking over I found the solution. You just have to change the entry in the custom list and all works fine.

Tested many, but this is the best.

Not only the software is great, also this wonderful user forum and especially all the superb support Colin is giving to his user community are the best by far.

propagation in locator database

<r>Hi all,<br/> <br/> when checking my locator database I found that in most cases the propagation, i.e. TR, EME, ES... has not been copied from the entry field into the locator database. I am using the newest version of WL32 on a Win98 machine.<br/> Any ideas what´s wrong?<br/> <br/> <br/> <br/> 73...

propagation in locator database

<r>Hi Colin,<br/> <br/> thanks a lot for the quick explanation which should be clear to me when I had thought about the topic. The locator database is updated before the propagation is entered during the online logging, that is quite clear after your explanation. <br/> <br/> Thanks again for this fa...

Frequency readout from rig

<r>Hi Colin,<br/> <br/> usually I type the QSO frequency in kHz into the log. As I do many QSO per year I would be nice if WL32 can read the frequency directly from the transceiver like my RTTY program (MMTTY) does. I think it´s a similar matter as rig control, but I don´t need to control my rig.<br...

Frequency readout from rig

<r>Hi Colin,<br/> <br/> thanks for the reply. As I am not a programmer I can not estimate the amount of work for you.<br/> Just for your information:<br/> I had a look into the RTTY software I am using and found that in the setup menue only some different rigs can be chosen: Yaesu HF (FT-1000 etc.),...
