Re: Convert J3E to SSB

Eyran

Download and re-install the latest version (rev #20) even if you have that version.

Re: Convert J3E to SSB

Thanks Gerald Hope all went OK. Although now I may have to re-think and put this option back as I have learned that one or two others have noticed this has gone missing, it was just another layer of complexity on top of the recent modes changes I had to make, but if I had realised it was such a conc...

Re: Convert J3E to SSB

Hi Gerald Yes, but only those files in the SUB-/LOGS directory as the /LOGS directory contains the actual log databases, but I think you know that. It is a good idea to re-populate these database after a time anyway, this makes sure that any discrepancies are corrected with current log data. The onl...

Re: Convert J3E to SSB

Hi Eyran Yes, you are correct about that observation The ADIF standard does not support J3e and other IARU modes, I have decided to deprecate the conversion process on import from other programs. If the file is imported from an ADIF that was GENERATED by Winlog32, the modes should still be the origi...

Re: Mode changes

Hi
I am not familiar with that software.
If you can - open up the ADI file in a text editor like Notepad and see what the original Mode was in the export file?
Or if you can send me the .adif file, and I can investigate and advise.

Re: N1MM>Winlog32

hi Chris Well, this was a request to add this function, and I like to please, as you say it could introduce extra problems, like when editing/deleting in real-time on N1MM, although there is provision for this in N1MM protocol, it another layer of complexity which I don't want to add to Winlog32. An...

Re: log transfer from one pc to another

Hi Mac Then I don't know how that happened, I just did a few 'Get Log...' transfers and it functioned just as expected. I can assure you that Winlog32 can not 'delete' logs, so without further info -like warning messages, I don't know what may have gone wrong. The 'Get Log...' function is just a sim...

N1MM>Winlog32

I've been asked to experiment with a basic UDP connection with N1MM contest logger, I know several Winlog32 users prefer to use N1MM for contesting, etc., so this may be useful to those folk. I don't use N1MM, or for that matter contest anymore, so input from anyone who does will be useful. If there...

Re: log transfer from one pc to another

Hi Mac There are several ways to transfer your log from one PC to another, and it is not clear which way you tried to do this. The back-up file is an exact copy of your log file, so it is usually a simple file copy/move operation, either manual or within Winlog32. ALWAYS keep a back-up log file safe...
