Re: Logging remote via LAN

If you do continue with it a reliable way to get arbitrary traffic reliably is to use a broadcast for discovery and then unicast for the actual traffic... ie: * server listens on port x for broadcasts announcing client. * client listens on port y for confirmation. * Client broadcasts to port x * ser...

Re: Logging remote via LAN

Hi Colin,
Try the broadcast address for your subnet maybe?
So if you're Wifi is 192.168.1.0/24 the broadcast is 192.168.1.254.

Re: Logging remote via LAN

Hi Colin, What type of remote are we talking about? A web UI or another windows application? I use a small laptop for winlog32 and digimode stuff, and control it using VNC server from my main machine which is a Linux PC. So I could test a web interface if that's what you're thinking about? The wheels fell off..

Hi-ho, Just a quick msg to let folks know that the forum is fixed... For about two months or so users were unable to post any messages, and to people did report that but I wasn't seeing the problem. Long story short, it was only working for me because of some peculiar settings on the PC I was using,...

Re: N1MM>Winlog32

Forgot..

For the record I just use winlog32 when I'm contesting solo and turn off the auto-upload stuff and use the contest-slick mode.. Works for me and I don't have to import the log from another tool after the contest..

Re: N1MM>Winlog32

Out of curiosity... Why would someone just not export to ADIF and import after the contest? I contest solo every now and then and sometimes as part of a semi-serious Multi-op contest group. To avoid issues with the logging and control of rigs the PC setup we use is very minimal, and having another a...

Re: Winlog32 Shut Down

Ok... So not winlog32 causing my win 8 (8.1 actually) hang problem.. Left winlog32 running since my last post, and just checked the netbook before going to bed and it was going so slow it might as well have hung. Poked around a bit and it's the Google Backup & sync client eating ram. Stopped tha...

Re: Winlog32 Shut Down

Just by way of observation... I run winlog32 on a windows 8 netbook which is a bit resource challenged. If I leave winlog32 running with the cluster window it does not close but the machine almost completely grids to a halt after a couple of days. Closing winlog32 takes 3-4 minutes from clicking clo...

Forums URL change..

Hi folks, I've just changed the site to use a tls certificate (SSL in lay terms). So the site url now has 'https' and hopefully a pretty green padlock in the tool bar. In theory nothing should break but if you do have any issues with the forum over the next week or two reply on this thread or drop m...
