For the record I just use winlog32 when I'm contesting solo and turn off the auto-upload stuff and use the contest-slick mode.. Works for me and I don't have to import the log from another tool after the contest..

Re: N1MM>Winlog32
Out of curiosity... Why would someone just not export to ADIF and import after the contest? I contest solo every now and then and sometimes as part of a semi-serious Multi-op contest group. To avoid issues with the logging and control of rigs the PC setup we use is very minimal, and having another a...

Re: Winlog32 Shut Down
Ok... So not winlog32 causing my win 8 (8.1 actually) hang problem.. Left winlog32 running since my last post, and just checked the netbook before going to bed and it was going so slow it might as well have hung. Poked around a bit and it's the Google Backup & sync client eating ram. Stopped that an...

Re: Winlog32 Shut Down
Just by way of observation... I run winlog32 on a windows 8 netbook which is a bit resource challenged. If I leave winlog32 running with the cluster window it does not close but the machine almost completely grids to a halt after a couple of days. Closing winlog32 takes 3-4 minutes from clicking clo...

Forums URL change..
Hi folks, I've just changed the site to use a tls certificate (SSL in lay terms). So the site url now has 'https' and hopefully a pretty green padlock in the tool bar. In theory nothing should break but if you do have any issues with the forum over the next week or two reply on this thread or drop m...

Re: DX Cluster setup
Hi-ho,
Just had a look at mine, and looks like the only thing I did was select 'WLNET' as the host in the options screen and it all works, click to tune etc..
I've not set up the alerts etc. though, what's the issue you're having?

Re: Audible warning for 'new/band/country' ?
Rod, ZL2NW, does have 10 elements on 6m and works EME too. His antenna was featured in the UKSMG magazine years ago: http://www.uksmg.org/content/10-element.htm Ay, That's the man (3NW, not 2). He only lives about 30k from here.. I've not met him but spoken on air a few times. I have a 5 element ya...

Re: Audible warning for 'new/band/country' ?
I have 98 confirmed on 6 metres - Land of Hope and Glory might be appropriate! Well done... One of the locals, ZL3NW just hit DXCC on 6m from down here... Not sure how many years he's been working on that, but I've only worked three.. ZL, VK and JA.. From down here they are the easy ones.

Re: Audible warning for 'new/band/country' ?
Well done... I'm on 219 worked, and chasing some elusive QSL's to get the cfm count over 200 at the moment so I can upgrade my DXCC with a widdle sticker. The thing I'm chasing at the moment is the last two states on 20 and 40m to make it four bands WAS.. 80m WAS from down this way is a bit of...

Re: Audible warning for 'new/band/country' ?
I've thought for a while as you get closer to working 'em all the sound should louder/better...
For the first 100 entities just a 'ding'. 100-200 Ding-dong. 200-300 A trumpet sound.. 300-340 a full orchestral symphony.
Hmm, back to work.
