WL32 and IOTA

Post by m3tdc »

Hi Colin
Can you tell me how i can update the islands listing (IOTA) please.

I have a list of about 15,000 islands and 16,000 groups that i use in DX Atlas. As i need to keep my IOTA contacts upto-date.

Thanks. PS did you get my email re change of callsign so i can alter my registration of WL32.

Cheers from 2E0TDC (M3TDC)

Hi Tony

The IOTA database can be updated with new IOTA Island names manually by the user, also the user can add manually QSO data not contained in the Log.

Menu/Databases/IOTA/EDIT

Just add the new island name (etc) into the relative row and it is done, moveing to the next row 'saves' the update.

You can not add any new desinations (e.g. non-IOTA) and you should not attempt to edit the IOTA designation number, the IOTA list is fixed but there plenty of extra undesinated numbers available for each Continent for future 'new ones'.
