propagation in locator database

Hi all,

when checking my locator database I found that in most cases the propagation, i.e. TR, EME, ES... has not been copied from the entry field into the locator database. I am using the newest version of WL32 on a Win98 machine.
Any ideas what´s wrong?

hi Gerald

This is nothing new....
The propagation mode is not usually entered into the VHF database when entering real-time as the database updates and checks before the PROP is entered in the log, it is possible to get this value from the drop-down list but I think this setting is likely to be overlooked, thus is bad info worse that no info?
I can not think of a solid way around this problem.
Using the LCR may be the answer.
It is also possible to manualy edit the PROp in the VHF database

Hi Colin,

thanks a lot for the quick explanation which should be clear to me when I had thought about the topic. The locator database is updated before the propagation is entered during the online logging, that is quite clear after your explanation.

Thanks again for this fantastic software.
