Reversing date

Post by maxim »

When I try to enter the date as dd/mm/yyyy it reverses to mm/dd/yyyy
if the day entered is less than 11.If the day is more than 11 then it
stays ok.I have been to options and made sure the settings are correct
and I have also been into regional settings and made sure the date
settings there are also ok.

Reversing date

Post by G0CUZ »

hi
The date input is directly linked to the database, although the date visual diplay can be changed to many different formats, the actual physical input must be the same as your Windows Date settings.
It sounds as though you have the US date format set in Windows Regional Settings, if you are in the U.S. you may prefer the MM/DD/YYYY input/format which is conventional thnat side of the pond, otherwise you can set your Windows International date format to DD/MM/YYYY (as per UK and other places) this will then allow date to be inputted as DD/MM/YYYY.
