I downloaded and installed/updated V" Build 7. (upgraded)
No probelms except that when I click "help" I get the following error,
"Cannot open the file mk:@MSITStore:C:\Winlog32\Winlog.chm"
When I go to the Winlog Folder and click the file "Winlog.chm"
the same error message appears.
My machine is a P4 1.7 with 512mb ram running XP.

The new Help file only works if you already have IE4 upwards installed, otherwise it should only use the old help file.
Does Internet Explorer Help work, as the Winlog32 help file uses Windows API and the same DLL as IE uses.
Find other .CHM (help) files on your computer, chances are they may not work either?
I may help if you install the service packs for your version of IE and see if that clears your problem, or upgrade to a newer version.
I don't think it is a problem with Winlog32.

A little research and I can direct you this link to the Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=312456
This will expain the error and cure
It may be simpler to try installing the service pack or re-install IE which may fix it anyway.

Thanks Colin.
I read the article but it was only for '98 and did not work on XP.
You were right of course, all the .chm help files were affected.
I reinstalled IE but did not solve the problem.
I will keep lookin for the fix.
Sean,
