Question about QTH Locator

Post by IK1PFW »

Hello all and many thanks for hosting me here.

I have a doubt about inserting the QTH Loc. (Maidenhead) in QSO entry.

Is there the only option to insert it in the "Remarks" field or one could activate a specific field for this purpose?

Thanks a lot and keep up the good work.

Ciao Maurizio

There is no specific field for Grid Locator.

Enter it into the Remarks field as the first entry, this is a smart field so you can also add other data but Grid locator must be the first in the field.

Ciao Colin and thanks for very prompt reply.

Ok I understand, there is absolutely no problem. I'm trying to use Winlog and it was just to be sure to know as much as possible about it!

Maybe the only pity is not to have a ready to use Grid Locator Map for VHF Square Worked/Confirmed.

Thanks a lot indeed and my best 73 de

That was a feature of the previous logbook program that I used. It would display a map showing squares worked.

Useful on the VHF and UHF bands. If I had a wishlist then listing by callsign and distance, based on grid locator, would be one of them. Especially on 23cm where over 1000km is possible with modest power and antennas.
