Hi Colin I am part of Group and we are into Contesting and events now,

90% of the members use winlog32 like myself, but find we are having to get used to other logging software as winlog32 will not network.

Is there Plans or a way to network the database so we can use winlog32 for contesting or multistation work

Regards
Andy

Hi Group
Happy New Year to all
I have often thought that having the ability to network would be great to have.
My shack is in the garden but have a second PC in the main house which is where I do all my QSLing from
So networking would be really useful.

Hi Guys

I did look into his possibility a few years ago, using a lightweight remote add-on but I encountered many problems.

Without redesigning the entire Winlog32 structure, I felt at the time that this would be a thankless task.

As Winlog32 is not a serious contest logger, and indeed I do not have any experience in multi-operator contest environments, I feel any development along these lines would have to be a compromise and would not produce anything approaching that already offered by bespoke contest loggers.

I am not discounting this entirely though, we will see what the future brings.

Hi All

Thanks for the info Colin.

I would not recommend Winlog32 for serious contest logging
I you want to have networked contest logging try N1MM which is free and is easy to use and setup.

Or try Writelog but their is a cost for again this good software
