Colour in DX cluster alert

Post by G3ZQH »

Hi Colin
The new update has given me the DX cluster colour alerts for the first time- not sure why this didn't work for me before. This is truly an excellent feature, particularly the ability to pick out both CW and SSB band/mode slots as well as all-time new ones. The only problem I have is that the brown colour on my screen is virtually indistinguishable from black, hence it is almost impossible to pick out the 'alert' callsigns from the general cluster list. Is there a way I can change the colour to, say, blue to make it stand out better?

73 and thanks for a great logging program.

Hi Dave

I decided on the 'brown' colour for the worked/unconfirmed as an inbetween of red and black (which it is), I did not want too much priority for this alert to become distracting, but wanted it to reflect what is is (DXCC Red alert) so it was a compromise really

I am open to suggestions on this - it is no big deal to change it, BUT due respect must be given to existing other 'alerts' which may already use a distinct colour e.g. VHF Locators alert = Blue.
On my screens it does show up OK as brown - what do others think?

Hi Colin!
Remember my post from 2004:

And one suggestion:
In DX cluster window you need two more colors ( categories)
- for " worked but not conformed"
- for " has not been worked at any band "

tnx
